A Lady’s Maid is considered the ‘female’ Butler, and is normally found in traditional households such as the British Royal Family. The Queen for example would have a lady’s maid, able to wait on her in her bedroom and give her privacy whilst still performing her duties. In less traditional households this role can be combined with PA duties or housekeeping duties. It is a desirable role, with many lady’s maids specialising in wardrobe and clothing care.
