Find a SEN Nanny for your Home with P&T Recruitment Agency

A SEN (special educational needs) nanny will be a nanny who is highly skilled and trained with working with children with specific needs.  Depending on the level of care that is required for the child, each nanny will have a specific background and skillset in which they bring to the job.

We understand that families who have specific requirements for their children are looking for the very highest level of care and attention for their children, with nannies to required above and beyond all duties, providing the highest level of care for the child.  It is a great honour for a nanny to be given this responsibility, and the special needs nannies on our books understand and respect this.

Clients who opt to hire a SEN nanny are looking for the very best of the best to care for their child, and ensure that they are safe, happy and loved when the parents are not available to care for their child.

What are our clients saying about us?

  • Amanda I used Polo & Tweed to find me a housekeeper after I had my second child to help around the house so that I could concentrate on the new baby and my toddler. The service Polo & Tweed provided was excellent. I was able to interview several candidates before finding an excellent housekeeper. I was supported in finding someone who was the right fit for my situation. They also took the headache out of agreeing hours, contracts and pay. The housekeeper was excellent and just knew what needed to be done without being asked.

What you need to consider in a SEN nanny

Most of our SEN Nannies will have worked with multiple families with multiple children and backgrounds.  If your child has a specific requirement, it is always important to match a candidate whom has the specific experience and training in this area.  Don’t be afraid to ask challenging questions at interview stage to ensure that you are confident with the special needs nannies skills in this area.

Some families require their SEN nanny to live in, and other require them to live out.  Some families may require two or more nannies should they require round the clock care.  This is something to consider when looking to recruit a nanny – what level of support do you require and do you need more than one nanny?  If the nanny is living in, or staying overnight, can you provide them suitable accommodation?
