I would go online and check the agencies for the references of people who have actually been working for them, who have used them and see what guidance they would provide to me – the reputation, have they got a good turnover of staff?, are they recommended by other people? etc.
I’d also deeply research the clients they would be sending me to as well, if it was possible.

The most important thing to look for in an agency is an agency you can trust. If you feel that something should go wrong, they would support you in their times.
