Online training is becoming a more and more popular route for people to take to get educated. But do you know if online training is more difficult than in-person training? The answer is not straightforward. As it really depends on what kind of learner you are. If you are good at self-motivating. And if you can focus better on your own, or in a group setting. Different things are harder for different people!

Find out here which would be more difficult for you, online or in-person training!

Type Of Learner

People learn new skills very differently. To find out if online training is more difficult than in-person training, you should find out what type of learner you are. The way one person takes in new knowledge can be completely different from how it works for another. So to understand if online training is more difficult than in-person training. We need to look at what type of learner you are.

Do you pick things up fairly quickly? Do you like it when a lot of new information and knowledge – is presented to you in a short period of time? Some people like this method! It can be a quick, efficient way to learn new skills If you are naturally quick at picking up new things and remembering them, then you might be more suited for in-personCoffee and Online Training training.

In-person training courses normally will have a set amount of hours or days, in which you will learn the training material. So if you know that you can keep up with the pace, then this could be a great option.

Online training can be set up very differently. Because you are in charge! So if you prefer to learn at your own time, you will probably not find online training more difficult. If anything it might be more suited for you. Because by doing an online training course, it means that you can set the pace of your studying yourself. So if you are a learner who likes to go over things again. Then online training is a great option. Because even halfway through the training, you can revisit old modules if you like. Rewatch videos. Practise the assignments and tests more. And make more notes!

Can You Self-Motive?

To find out if online training is more difficult than in-person training, let’s have a look at how you learn. Let’s keep this simple: If you are good at motivating yourself, and do not get distracted easily, then you will not find online training more difficult than in-person training. It’s simple as that!

Why self-motivation makes such a difference? Because when it comes to online training, there is no group, or trainer in front of you to get you going. There is no one there to tell you that you now must watch this training video. Or take this test. Or read a module paragraph.

In group courses that is different. You firstly have a trainer who will guide you through every module. They will be following a set timetable to make sure the right amount of modules are covered in the set training days. And you will probably watch videos together, practise with your fellow students and all take tests at the same time. So that way you don’t really have to worry about motivating yourself to do something – it is all set out for you already!

Do You Learn Best Solo?

Another way to find out if online training is more difficult than in-person training, let’s look at how you best learn. Some people really like working in a group setting. You can get great discussions going on the modules and topics you are trying to learn. And you might learn from their experiences and suggestions too.

But this does not count for everyone. Some people might find it uncomfortable working in a group. Distracting, even. Perhaps you can focus a lot better when you are working on your own, instead of in a group.

So these are important things to find out. If you feel you need the motivation and communication of a group, then in-person training might be easier than online training. However, if you feel the opposite. If you feel that other people might only distract you during training. Or when you try to learn new stuff. Then definitely look into online training courses.

How hard a training course is, will mostly depend on what works best for you. So find out from the above what your best style of learning is, and you will find a training suited for you!
